### sec.824 Period to appeal
An appeal under section 823 against a decision must be started within 20 business days after—
if the person has been given an information notice for the decision—the day the person is given the notice; or
if paragraph (a) does not apply—the day the person otherwise becomes aware of the decision.
However, the appeal body may, at any time within the 20 business days, extend the period for making an appeal.
