### sec.25 Procedure
Unless this Act otherwise provides, the ombudsman may regulate the procedure on an investigation in the way the ombudsman considers appropriate.
The ombudsman, when conducting an investigation—
must conduct the investigation in a way that maintains confidentiality; and
is not bound by the rules of evidence, but must comply with natural justice; and
is not required to hold a hearing for the investigation; and
may obtain information from the persons, and in the way, the ombudsman considers appropriate; and
may make the inquiries the ombudsman considers appropriate.
(sec.25-ssec.1) Unless this Act otherwise provides, the ombudsman may regulate the procedure on an investigation in the way the ombudsman considers appropriate.
