### sec.55 Where 2 or more attachment of earnings orders are in force
Where, on any occasion on which earnings become payable to a defendant, there are in force in relation to those earnings 2 or more orders, 1 or more of which is an attachment of earnings order and the other or others of which is an order or are orders of the like nature, the person to whom the orders are directed—
shall comply with those orders according to the relative dates on which they took effect and shall disregard any order until an earlier order has been complied with; and
shall comply with any order as if the earnings to which that order relates were the residue of the defendant’s earnings after the making of any payment under any earlier order.
For the purposes of this section, an attachment of earnings order that has been varied shall be deemed to have been made as so varied on the day upon which the attachment of earnings order was made.

(sec.55-ssec.2) For the purposes of this section, an attachment of earnings order that has been varied shall be deemed to have been made as so varied on the day upon which the attachment of earnings order was made.
