### sec.121 Payments under orders
Subject to any directions given under this Act with respect to the appropriation of moneys and to any express directions given by the defendant in relation thereto any moneys received under an order for the payment of moneys made under this Act by the person entitled to receive those moneys shall be deemed a payment made by the defendant to that person, so as to discharge, to the extent of the moneys received, firstly any sums due and unpaid under the order (a sum due at an earlier date being discharged before a sum due at a later date) and secondly any costs incurred in proceedings relating to the order that were payable by the defendant in respect of any previous proceedings for the enforcement of the order.
Subject to any directions given under this Act with respect to the appropriation of moneys and to any express directions given by the defendant in relation thereto, the collector or clerk of the court, as the case may be, may disburse any moneys received by the collector or clerk from the defendant in relation to a maintenance order whether or not those moneys were, at the time of such disbursement, due and owing under the maintenance order.
