### sec.127I Decision to refuse application
If the electoral commission decides to refuse the application, the electoral commission must give the third party written notice of the decision as soon as practicable after making the decision.
The notice must state—
the electoral commission has decided to refuse the application; and
the reason for the refusal; and
if the reason for the refusal is the application is incomplete or incorrect—that the third party may—
amend the application in the way stated in the notice; and
resubmit the application to the electoral commission within 30 days after receiving the notice.
An application that is amended and resubmitted to the electoral commission as stated in the notice under subsection (2) (c) is taken to have been made on the day the original application was made.

(sec.127I-ssec.1) If the electoral commission decides to refuse the application, the electoral commission must give the third party written notice of the decision as soon as practicable after making the decision.
(sec.127I-ssec.2) The notice must state— the electoral commission has decided to refuse the application; and the reason for the refusal; and if the reason for the refusal is the application is incomplete or incorrect—that the third party may— amend the application in the way stated in the notice; and resubmit the application to the electoral commission within 30 days after receiving the notice.
(sec.127I-ssec.3) An application that is amended and resubmitted to the electoral commission as stated in the notice under subsection (2) (c) is taken to have been made on the day the original application was made.
- (a) the electoral commission has decided to refuse the application; and
- (b) the reason for the refusal; and
- (c) if the reason for the refusal is the application is incomplete or incorrect—that the third party may— (i) amend the application in the way stated in the notice; and (ii) resubmit the application to the electoral commission within 30 days after receiving the notice.
