### sec.237 Name in proceedings by or against a local government
Any proceedings by a local government must be started in the name of the local government.
However, a local government may start a proceeding under the Justices Act 1886 in the name of a local government employee who is a public officer within the meaning of that Act.
Any proceedings against a local government must be started against the local government in its name.

(sec.237-ssec.1) Any proceedings by a local government must be started in the name of the local government.
