### sec.588 Termination of appointment
The Governor in Council may end the appointment of the commissioner if the commissioner—
becomes incapable of performing the commissioner’s functions because of physical or mental incapacity; or
is an insolvent under administration; or
is guilty of misconduct of a kind that could warrant dismissal from the public service if the commissioner were an officer of the public service.
The Governor in Council must end the appointment of the commissioner if the commissioner is convicted of a serious offence or an offence against a relevant law or a corresponding law.
(sec.588-ssec.1) The Governor in Council may end the appointment of the commissioner if the commissioner— becomes incapable of performing the commissioner’s functions because of physical or mental incapacity; or is an insolvent under administration; or is guilty of misconduct of a kind that could warrant dismissal from the public service if the commissioner were an officer of the public service.
(sec.588-ssec.2) The Governor in Council must end the appointment of the commissioner if the commissioner is convicted of a serious offence or an offence against a relevant law or a corresponding law.
