### sec.55E Notice of surrender
The chief executive must give notice of the surrender of a deed in grant in trust to the trustee and each person given a notice about the proposed surrender under section 55A (either a relevant person ).
The notice must include all of the following—
the date of the surrender;
the effect, under section 55F , of the surrender;
if there are improvements on the land the subject of the deed of grant in trust owned by the person receiving the notice—a statement that the person may apply to remove the improvements.
If the Minister decides not to approve the surrender of a deed of grant in trust, notice of the fact must be given to each relevant person.
