### sec.31 Surrender of licence
A licensee may surrender the licensee’s licence by signed notice given to the chief executive.
The surrender of the licence takes effect on the day the notice of surrender is given to the chief executive or, if a later day of effect is stated in the notice, the later day.
The person to whom the licence was granted must return the licence to the chief executive within 14 days after the person surrenders the licence, unless the person has a reasonable excuse.
Maximum penalty for subsection (3) —20 penalty units.
