### sec.12A Meaning of ministerial advisor
A ministerial advisor is—
a ministerial staff member who gives, or a person engaged to give, advice to a Minister; or
an assistant minister staff member who gives, or a person engaged to give, advice to an Assistant Minister.
However, a person who is a designated person is not a ministerial advisor .

(sec.12A-ssec.1) A ministerial advisor is— a ministerial staff member who gives, or a person engaged to give, advice to a Minister; or an assistant minister staff member who gives, or a person engaged to give, advice to an Assistant Minister.
(sec.12A-ssec.2) However, a person who is a designated person is not a ministerial advisor .
- (a) a ministerial staff member who gives, or a person engaged to give, advice to a Minister; or
- (b) an assistant minister staff member who gives, or a person engaged to give, advice to an Assistant Minister.
