### sec.70 Appointment conditions and limit on powers
An authorised officer holds office on any conditions stated in—
if the officer was appointed under section 69 (1) (b) , the officer’s instrument of appointment; or
a signed notice given to the officer; or
a regulation.
The instrument of appointment, a signed notice given to the officer or a regulation may limit the officer’s powers under this Act.
In this section—
signed notice means a notice signed by the chief executive.

(sec.70-ssec.2) The instrument of appointment, a signed notice given to the officer or a regulation may limit the officer’s powers under this Act.
(sec.70-ssec.3) In this section— signed notice means a notice signed by the chief executive.
- (a) if the officer was appointed under section 69 (1) (b) , the officer’s instrument of appointment; or
- (b) a signed notice given to the officer; or
- (c) a regulation.
