### sec.69 Appointment and qualifications
The following persons are authorised officers—
the registrar;
an officer of the department appointed by the chief executive by instrument in writing.
However, the chief executive may appoint an officer of the department as an authorised officer only if the chief executive is satisfied that the officer has the necessary expertise or experience.

(sec.69-ssec.1) The following persons are authorised officers— the registrar; an officer of the department appointed by the chief executive by instrument in writing.
(sec.69-ssec.2) However, the chief executive may appoint an officer of the department as an authorised officer only if the chief executive is satisfied that the officer has the necessary expertise or experience.
- (a) the registrar;
- (b) an officer of the department appointed by the chief executive by instrument in writing.
