### sec.71 When authorised officer stops holding office
An authorised officer stops holding office if any of the following happens—
the term of office stated in a condition of office ends;
under another condition of office, the officer stops holding office;
the officer’s resignation under section 72 takes effect.
Subsection (1) does not limit the ways an authorised officer may stop holding office.
In this section—
condition of office means a condition on which the officer holds office.
(sec.71-ssec.1) An authorised officer stops holding office if any of the following happens— the term of office stated in a condition of office ends; under another condition of office, the officer stops holding office; the officer’s resignation under section 72 takes effect.
(sec.71-ssec.2) Subsection (1) does not limit the ways an authorised officer may stop holding office.
(sec.71-ssec.3) In this section— condition of office means a condition on which the officer holds office.
- (a) the term of office stated in a condition of office ends;
- (b) under another condition of office, the officer stops holding office;
- (c) the officer’s resignation under section 72 takes effect.
