### sec.248 Review of initial review decisions
This section applies if a claimant for a review of a payout refusal decision—
receives a notice under section 247 (2) confirming the decision; or
does not receive a notice under section 247 (2) within 1 month after asking for the review.
If this section applies because of subsection (1) (a) , the claimant may ask the commissioner to review the review decision.
If this section applies because of subsection (1) (b) , the claimant may ask the commissioner to review the payout refusal decision.
A request to the commissioner under this section must—
be made in the way, and within the time, prescribed under a regulation; and
be dealt with by the commissioner in the way prescribed under a regulation.

(sec.248-ssec.1) This section applies if a claimant for a review of a payout refusal decision— receives a notice under section 247 (2) confirming the decision; or does not receive a notice under section 247 (2) within 1 month after asking for the review.
