### sec.54 Interfering with forest products on Crown lands etc. A person shall not interfere with, or cause to be interfered with, any forest products, any quarry material, or any earth or soil— on any Crown land; or on any land reserved for or dedicated to public purposes (including any road, save a State-controlled road under the Transport Infrastructure Act 1994 ); except— under the authority of any other Act or law; or under the authority of and in compliance in every respect with the requirements of a permit, lease, licence, agreement or contract granted or made under this Act. Maximum penalty— for a first offence—1,000 penalty units; and for a subsequent offence—3,000 penalty units. Subsection (1) does not apply if— the person is acting under the Biosecurity Act 2014 ; and that action interferes with, or causes to be interfered with, the forest products; and the forest products are restricted matter.
