### sec.26 Review of harvest strategy
The chief executive must review each approved harvest strategy to assess whether it is achieving the main purpose of this Act in an appropriate and effective way.
The review must be conducted—
if the harvest strategy states when the review must be conducted—at the stated time; or
otherwise—within 5 years after the harvest strategy was approved by the Minister or, if applicable, the last time the harvest strategy was reviewed.
The chief executive must give the Minister a written report about the review within 21 days after completing the review.
The report must state the action the chief executive considers should be taken to address any concerns about the harvest strategy, including, for example—
whether the harvest strategy should be amended and, if so, how; and
whether the Minister should issue a direction under section 24 or make a reallocation decision under division 2 .
