### sec.147 Appointment conditions and limit on powers
An inspection officer holds office on any conditions stated in—
the inspection officer’s instrument of appointment; or
a signed notice given to the inspection officer; or
a regulation.
The instrument of appointment, a signed notice given to the inspection officer or a regulation may limit the inspection officer’s powers under this Act.
In this section—
signed notice means a notice signed by the regulator.

(sec.147-ssec.1) An inspection officer holds office on any conditions stated in— the inspection officer’s instrument of appointment; or a signed notice given to the inspection officer; or a regulation.
(sec.147-ssec.2) The instrument of appointment, a signed notice given to the inspection officer or a regulation may limit the inspection officer’s powers under this Act.
(sec.147-ssec.3) In this section— signed notice means a notice signed by the regulator.

- (b) a signed notice given to the inspection officer; or
- (c) a regulation.
