### sec.309 Duration of parliamentary commissioner’s appointment
The parliamentary commissioner holds office for the term, not less than 2 years and no longer than 5 years, stated in the instrument of the parliamentary commissioner’s appointment.
The parliamentary commissioner must not hold office for more than 5 years in total.
Subsection (2) has effect despite the Acts Interpretation Act 1954 , section 25 (1) (c) .
(sec.309-ssec.1) The parliamentary commissioner holds office for the term, not less than 2 years and no longer than 5 years, stated in the instrument of the parliamentary commissioner’s appointment.
