### sec.257 Commission officers
This section applies to commission officers who are—
employed under section 254 ; or
seconded under section 255 ; or
engaged under section 256 .
The commission may issue directions for the performance of duties by the commission officers.
A person who is a member of a relevant office and who is seconded to the commission under section 255 remains a member of the office from which the person was seconded.
Subsection (3) is subject to subsection (2) and section 255 (4) .
A person mentioned in subsection (3) —
is entitled to the person’s existing and accruing rights as if employment as an officer of the commission were a continuation of employment in the relevant office; and
continues to be required to contribute to any superannuation scheme to which the person is required to contribute as a member of the office.

- (a) employed under section 254 ; or
- (b) seconded under section 255 ; or
- (c) engaged under section 256 .
- (a) is entitled to the person’s existing and accruing rights as if employment as an officer of the commission were a continuation of employment in the relevant office; and
- (b) continues to be required to contribute to any superannuation scheme to which the person is required to contribute as a member of the office.
