### sec.247 Land registry searches free of charge This section applies to any of the following persons— the chief executive officer; an employee of the council who is authorised by the chief executive officer; a lawyer or other agent acting for the council; an employee of a lawyer or agent mentioned in paragraph (c) who is authorised by the lawyer or agent. The person may conduct searches of registers or documents about land in the land registry in accordance with the practice of the registry without payment of a fee. (sec.247-ssec.1) This section applies to any of the following persons— the chief executive officer; an employee of the council who is authorised by the chief executive officer; a lawyer or other agent acting for the council; an employee of a lawyer or agent mentioned in paragraph (c) who is authorised by the lawyer or agent.
