### sec.196 Exercise of powers and compliance with obligations by others If, under a provision of this Act, an authorised officer or police officer is authorised or required to exercise a power or perform a function— the power may be exercised or the function performed by another authorised officer or police officer who could exercise or perform a power or function of the same type; and the officer is taken to have complied with the provision. - (a) the power may be exercised or the function performed by another authorised officer or police officer who could exercise or perform a power or function of the same type; and - (b) the officer is taken to have complied with the provision.
