### sec.150 Adjudication registrar
There is to be an Adjudication Registrar (the registrar ).
The registrar is appointed by the Governor in Council.
A person is eligible for appointment as the registrar only if the person—
is eligible for admission in the legal profession under the Legal Profession Act 2007 , section 30 ; and
has particular knowledge and experience of public administration or other matters of substantial relevance to the functions of the registrar.

The commissioner may appoint a person to act as registrar for a period of not more than 6 months—
during a vacancy in the office; or
during any period, or all periods, when the registrar is absent from duty or, for another reason, can not perform the duties of the office.
The registrar is appointed under this Act and not the Public Sector Act 2022 .
The registrar is an employee of the employing office.
In this section—
employing office see the Queensland Building and Construction Commission Act 1991 , schedule 2 .
