### sec.297 Application for exemption under previous s 240 This section applies to an application under previous section 240 for an exemption from compliance with the fencing standards made to a local government but not decided before the 2010 Act commencement day. The local government may, under previous section 240— continue to decide the application; and grant or refuse to grant the exemption. Previous section 241(1) continues to apply for a decision mentioned in subsection (2) as if the unamended Act had not been amended by the amending Act. s 297 ins 2010 No. 35 s 31 (sec.297-ssec.1) This section applies to an application under previous section 240 for an exemption from compliance with the fencing standards made to a local government but not decided before the 2010 Act commencement day. (sec.297-ssec.2) The local government may, under previous section 240— continue to decide the application; and grant or refuse to grant the exemption. (sec.297-ssec.3) Previous section 241(1) continues to apply for a decision mentioned in subsection (2) as if the unamended Act had not been amended by the amending Act. - (a) continue to decide the application; and - (b) grant or refuse to grant the exemption.
