### sec.196 Requirements to be set out in community service order A community service order must contain requirements— that the child report in person to the chief executive within 1 business day after the order is made or any longer period that is specified in the order; and that the child perform in a satisfactory way for the number of hours specified in the order the community service that the chief executive directs the child to perform; and that the child, while performing community service, comply with every reasonable direction of the chief executive; and that the child or a parent of the child inform the chief executive of every change in the child’s place of residence within 2 business days of the change; and that the child abstain from violation of the law during the period of the order; and that the child not leave, or stay out of, Queensland during the period of the order without the prior approval of the chief executive. An order may contain a requirement that the child must comply with outside the State. An order may require the child to perform a community service at a place outside the State. If the order is for less than 50 hours of community service, the order may contain a requirement that the child must perform the community service within a period starting on the date of the order that is less than 1 year. If a requirement is not imposed under this subsection, the period of 1 year mentioned in section 198 (a) (i) will apply. Before imposing a requirement under subsection (3) , a court must consider what is a reasonable period for the child to perform the community service in all the circumstances of the case. s 196 amd 2002 No. 39 s 74 ; 2009 No. 34 s 27 (sec.196-ssec.1) A community service order must contain requirements— that the child report in person to the chief executive within 1 business day after the order is made or any longer period that is specified in the order; and that the child perform in a satisfactory way for the number of hours specified in the order the community service that the chief executive directs the child to perform; and that the child, while performing community service, comply with every reasonable direction of the chief executive; and that the child or a parent of the child inform the chief executive of every change in the child’s place of residence within 2 business days of the change; and that the child abstain from violation of the law during the period of the order; and that the child not leave, or stay out of, Queensland during the period of the order without the prior approval of the chief executive. (sec.196-ssec.2) An order may contain a requirement that the child must comply with outside the State. An order may require the child to perform a community service at a place outside the State.
