### sec.89 Change in self-insurer’s membership
If a self-insurer that is a group employer intends to change the membership of the group, the self-insurer must, before the change, apply to the Regulator in writing for the change in the group membership on the licence.
The Regulator must approve the application if it is satisfied that—
the self-insurer, after the change, meets the requirements for a licence for a group employer; and
satisfactory arrangements have been made in relation to the total liability of the member or members leaving.
However, subsection (4) applies if—
the application is made by a self-insurer that is a related bodies corporate group employer; and
within 2 months after the application, members of the self-insurer that are a group employer apply, under section 69 (the section 69 application ), to be a self-insurer as a related bodies corporate group employer.
The Regulator must approve the application if it is satisfied that the self-insurer, after the change, meets the requirements for a licence for a group employer and—
the Regulator has decided to approve the section 69 application; or
if the Regulator has decided not to approve the section 69 application, it is satisfied that satisfactory arrangements have been made in relation to the total liability of the applicants for the section 69 application.

- (b) satisfactory arrangements have been made in relation to the total liability of the member or members leaving.
- (a) the application is made by a self-insurer that is a related bodies corporate group employer; and
