### sec.678 Injuries sustained before commencement
This section applies if a worker sustained an injury before the commencement.
The pre-amended Act continues to apply in relation to the injury as if the amendment Act had not been enacted.
Without limiting subsection (2)—
the amount of compensation payable in relation to the injury must be worked out under the pre-amended Act; and
chapter 5 of the pre-amended Act applies in relation to damages for the injury.
In this section—
amendment Act means the Workers’ Compensation and Rehabilitation and Other Legislation Amendment Act 2013 .
commencement means the commencement of this section.
pre-amended Act means this Act as in force before the commencement.

(sec.678-ssec.1) This section applies if a worker sustained an injury before the commencement.
(sec.678-ssec.2) The pre-amended Act continues to apply in relation to the injury as if the amendment Act had not been enacted.
