### sec.65 What is the excess period
The excess period , in relation to a worker who sustains an injury for which compensation is payable, is the period that starts on the day that the worker’s entitlement to compensation arises under chapter 3 , part 7 .
The excess period ends at the end of the day that the amount of weekly compensation paid to the worker exceeds an amount prescribed under a regulation.
