### sec.64 WorkCover may waive or reduce additional premium
This section applies if an employer is liable to pay WorkCover an additional premium.
The employer may apply in writing to WorkCover to waive or reduce the additional premium because of extenuating circumstances.
The application must specify the extenuating circumstances and the reasons the additional premium should be waived or reduced in the particular case.
WorkCover must consider the application and may—
waive or reduce the additional premium; or
refuse to waive or reduce the additional premium.
If the employer is aggrieved by WorkCover’s decision, the employer may have the decision reviewed under chapter 13 .
(sec.64-ssec.1) This section applies if an employer is liable to pay WorkCover an additional premium.
(sec.64-ssec.2) The employer may apply in writing to WorkCover to waive or reduce the additional premium because of extenuating circumstances.
(sec.64-ssec.3) The application must specify the extenuating circumstances and the reasons the additional premium should be waived or reduced in the particular case.
(sec.64-ssec.4) WorkCover must consider the application and may— waive or reduce the additional premium; or refuse to waive or reduce the additional premium.
(sec.64-ssec.5) If the employer is aggrieved by WorkCover’s decision, the employer may have the decision reviewed under chapter 13 .
- (a) waive or reduce the additional premium; or
- (b) refuse to waive or reduce the additional premium.
