### sec.611 Spouse of worker dying before 1 April 2004
This section applies in relation to a death of a worker that happens after the commencement of this section but before 1 April 2004.
For this Act, the spouse of the deceased worker includes a person who, although not legally married to the deceased worker—
lived with the worker as the worker’s husband or wife for a continuous period of at least 1 year immediately before the commencement of this section; and
continued to live with the worker as the worker’s husband or wife until the worker died.
(sec.611-ssec.1) This section applies in relation to a death of a worker that happens after the commencement of this section but before 1 April 2004.
(sec.611-ssec.2) For this Act, the spouse of the deceased worker includes a person who, although not legally married to the deceased worker— lived with the worker as the worker’s husband or wife for a continuous period of at least 1 year immediately before the commencement of this section; and continued to live with the worker as the worker’s husband or wife until the worker died.
- (a) lived with the worker as the worker’s husband or wife for a continuous period of at least 1 year immediately before the commencement of this section; and
- (b) continued to live with the worker as the worker’s husband or wife until the worker died.
