### sec.493 Panels for tribunals
The Governor in Council, by gazette notice, may appoint, for a specified period of not more than 3 years, a panel of doctors for designation to a tribunal.
Each appointee to a panel for a tribunal must be a specialist in the speciality for which the appointment is made.
The Governor in Council, by gazette notice, may also appoint—
an appointee to a panel for a tribunal to be chairperson of the tribunal; and
at least 2 appointees to a panel for a tribunal to be deputy chairpersons of the tribunal.

(sec.493-ssec.1) The Governor in Council, by gazette notice, may appoint, for a specified period of not more than 3 years, a panel of doctors for designation to a tribunal.
(sec.493-ssec.2) Each appointee to a panel for a tribunal must be a specialist in the speciality for which the appointment is made.
(sec.493-ssec.3) The Governor in Council, by gazette notice, may also appoint— an appointee to a panel for a tribunal to be chairperson of the tribunal; and at least 2 appointees to a panel for a tribunal to be deputy chairpersons of the tribunal.
- (a) an appointee to a panel for a tribunal to be chairperson of the tribunal; and
- (b) at least 2 appointees to a panel for a tribunal to be deputy chairpersons of the tribunal.
