### sec.447 Appointment of senior executives
Senior executives of WorkCover may be appointed by the Governor in Council, by gazette notice, on the board’s recommendation.
A senior executive is to be appointed under this Act and not under the Public Sector Act 2022 .
A person appointed as a senior executive must enter into a contract with WorkCover.
The conditions of the contract are to be decided by the board.
The contract must state the conditions of appointment, including—
a term of the contract of not longer than 5 years; and
the remuneration to which the person is entitled.
The contract must be signed for WorkCover by the board’s chairperson.
Subsection (6) (a) does not prevent the senior executive from being reappointed.
An industrial instrument does not apply to a person appointed as a senior executive.
However, subsection (9) has no effect on the Industrial Relations Act 2016 , section 471 or chapter 8 , part 2 .
