### sec.326 Establishment of office and appointment of Regulator
The office of the Workers’ Compensation Regulator is established.
The Governor in Council may appoint a public service officer as the Workers’ Compensation Regulator (the Regulator ).
The Regulator is appointed under the Public Sector Act 2022 and may hold that appointment in conjunction with another public service office.
The Regulator must act independently when making a decision under this Act but otherwise is subject to direction in the person’s capacity as a public service officer or an officer of the department.

(sec.326-ssec.1) The office of the Workers’ Compensation Regulator is established.
(sec.326-ssec.2) The Governor in Council may appoint a public service officer as the Workers’ Compensation Regulator (the Regulator ).
