### sec.30 Who is an employer An employer is a person who engages a worker to perform work. Also, schedule 3 sets out who is an employer in particular circumstances. To remove doubt, a reference to an employer of a worker who sustains an injury is a reference to the employer out of whose employment, or in the course of whose employment, the injury arose.
