### sec.242 Need for urgent proceedings This section applies in relation to an urgent need for the claimant to start a proceeding for damages. Section 276 provides a way for the claimant to satisfy section 302 (2) . Also, the claimant may, under section 298 , seek leave to start a proceeding for damages for an injury without complying with section 275 . However, if the leave mentioned in subsection (3) is given, a proceeding started by leave is stayed until the claimant complies with section 275 . s 242 amd 2010 No. 24 s 3 sch sub 2013 No. 52 s 21 (retro) (sec.242-ssec.1) This section applies in relation to an urgent need for the claimant to start a proceeding for damages.
