### sec.221 Steps for rehabilitation and return to work—rehabilitation and return to work plan
In securing the worker’s rehabilitation and early return to suitable duties, the insurer must ensure there is a written plan (a rehabilitation and return to work plan ) for the worker that outlines—
the rehabilitation objectives for the worker; and
the steps required to achieve the objectives.
The rehabilitation and return to work plan must be in place within 10 business days after the worker’s application for compensation is allowed.
The insurer must ensure the rehabilitation and return to work plan—
is reviewed and modified as further information becomes available, the worker’s progress against the plan is assessed and decisions are made; and
is prepared and reviewed in consultation with the worker, the worker’s employer and registered persons treating the worker, to the extent that it is reasonably practicable to do so.
