### sec.178 Entitlement to assessment of permanent impairment and lump sum compensation
Under this part, an insurer or a worker is entitled to ask for an assessment to decide if a worker has sustained a DPI from injury.
If the worker is assessed under this part as having sustained a DPI, the worker is entitled to a payment, or an offer of payment, of lump sum compensation for the permanent impairment.
In particular circumstances, the worker may be entitled to a payment of additional lump sum compensation.

(sec.178-ssec.1) Under this part, an insurer or a worker is entitled to ask for an assessment to decide if a worker has sustained a DPI from injury.
(sec.178-ssec.2) If the worker is assessed under this part as having sustained a DPI, the worker is entitled to a payment, or an offer of payment, of lump sum compensation for the permanent impairment.
