### sec.128L Advances on account
This section applies if an insurer is satisfied a worker—
is entitled to lump sum compensation under subdivision 1 or 2 for an injury; and
is experiencing financial hardship.
The insurer may, from time to time, advance to the worker amounts on account of any lump sum compensation as it considers appropriate in the circumstances.
Subsection (2) applies despite sections 128H and 128K .
Acceptance of the amount on account of lump sum compensation by the worker does not constitute an election by the worker not to seek damages for the injury.
