### sec.21 Appointment of acting director
Subject to subsection (2) , the Governor in Council may appoint a person to act as a director (other than the chairperson)—
while the office of the director is vacant; or
during any period, or all periods, when the director is absent from duty or Australia or is, for another reason, unable to perform the functions of office.
A person may be appointed to act as a director mentioned in section 14 (1) (b) only after consultation with the Commonwealth.

(sec.21-ssec.2) A person may be appointed to act as a director mentioned in section 14 (1) (b) only after consultation with the Commonwealth.
