### sec.491 Evidentiary aids
A certificate purporting to be signed by or for the chief executive or regulator stating any of the following matters is evidence of the matter—
a stated decision, direction, notice or requirement is a decision, direction, notice or requirement under this Act;
a stated thing is a thing that must or may be included in a register;
that a stated document is a document kept under this Act;
that a stated document is a copy of, or an extract from or part of, a thing mentioned in paragraph (a) or (b) ;
that on a stated day—
a stated person was given a stated decision, direction or notice under this Act; or
a stated direction or requirement under this Act was given to or made of a stated person;
that on a stated day, or during a stated period, a person’s appointment as an authorised officer was, or was not, in force.
A statement in a complaint for an offence against this Act that the matter of the complaint came to the knowledge of the complainant on a stated day is evidence of the day it came to the complainant’s knowledge.

- (d) that a stated document is a copy of, or an extract from or part of, a thing mentioned in paragraph (a) or (b) ;
- (e) that on a stated day— (i) a stated person was given a stated decision, direction or notice under this Act; or (ii) a stated direction or requirement under this Act was given to or made of a stated person;
- (i) a stated person was given a stated decision, direction or notice under this Act; or
- (ii) a stated direction or requirement under this Act was given to or made of a stated person;
- (f) that on a stated day, or during a stated period, a person’s appointment as an authorised officer was, or was not, in force.
- (i) a stated person was given a stated decision, direction or notice under this Act; or
- (ii) a stated direction or requirement under this Act was given to or made of a stated person;
