### sec.383 Preparation and submission of flood event report
This section applies to the owner of a referable dam to which this part applies if a flood event relating to the dam happens.
The owner of the dam must, unless the owner has a reasonable excuse, prepare a report (a flood event report ) under this division and give it to the chief executive within—
30 business days after the end of the flood event; or
if a further period is agreed in writing by the chief executive and the owner of the dam—the further period.
Maximum penalty—1,665 penalty units.
In this section—
end , of a flood event, means 24 hours after the last occasion that water is released from the dam in response to the flood event.
