### sec.675 Minister’s power to notify water authority of public sector policies
The Minister may give a water authority notice of a public sector policy that is to apply to the authority if the Minister is satisfied it is necessary to give the notice in the public interest.
The water authority must comply with the policy.
Before giving the notice, the Minister must—
consult with the water authority; and
ask the authority to advise whether, in its opinion, complying with the policy would not be in its financial interest.
The Minister must gazette a copy of the notice within 15 business days after it is given.
(sec.675-ssec.1) The Minister may give a water authority notice of a public sector policy that is to apply to the authority if the Minister is satisfied it is necessary to give the notice in the public interest.
(sec.675-ssec.2) The water authority must comply with the policy.
(sec.675-ssec.3) Before giving the notice, the Minister must— consult with the water authority; and ask the authority to advise whether, in its opinion, complying with the policy would not be in its financial interest.
(sec.675-ssec.4) The Minister must gazette a copy of the notice within 15 business days after it is given.
