### sec.216 Surrendering operations licence
A licensee may surrender an operations licence by giving the chief executive a notice of surrender.
The surrender—
takes effect on the date on which the surrender notice is received by the chief executive; and
does not affect in any way a duty under this Act about works imposed on the licensee before the surrender.

(sec.216-ssec.1) A licensee may surrender an operations licence by giving the chief executive a notice of surrender.
(sec.216-ssec.2) The surrender— takes effect on the date on which the surrender notice is received by the chief executive; and does not affect in any way a duty under this Act about works imposed on the licensee before the surrender.
