### sec.73DC Use of relevant payments The local government must use a relevant payment to mitigate the direct effects of the waste levy on households in the local government’s local government area. Subsection (3) applies if the chief executive believes the local government has not used a relevant payment as required under subsection (1) . Until the chief executive is satisfied the local government has used the relevant payment as required under subsection (1) , the chief executive must not make any further relevant payments to the local government. s 73DC ins 2023 No. 15 s 17 (sec.73DC-ssec.1) The local government must use a relevant payment to mitigate the direct effects of the waste levy on households in the local government’s local government area.
