### sec.247 General requirements of show cause notice
A show cause notice must—
be in writing; and
outline the facts and circumstances forming the basis for the chief executive’s belief that a compliance notice should be given to the person; and
state that submissions may be made about the show cause notice; and
state how the submissions may be made; and
state where the submissions may be made or sent; and
state a period within which the submissions must be made.
The period stated in the notice must end at least 14 business days after the notice is given.
