### sec.143 Giving board false or misleading information
A person must not, in relation to the administration of this Act, give the board information the person knows to be false or misleading in a material particular.
Maximum penalty—5 years imprisonment.
An offence against subsection (1) is a misdemeanour.
Subsection (1) does not apply to a person if the person, when giving information in a document—
tells the board, to the best of the person’s ability, how the document is false or misleading; and
if the person has, or can reasonably obtain, the correct information—gives the correct information.
