### sec.104 Effect of application
When the application is made—
if the request and assessment process in relation to the person requesting access to voluntary assisted dying has not been completed—
the request and assessment process is suspended; and
no further step in the process may be taken until the application for review is finalised; or
if the request and assessment process in relation to the person requesting access to voluntary assisted dying has been completed—
the process for accessing voluntary assisted dying under part 4 is suspended; and
no further step under that part (including the prescription, supply or administration of a voluntary assisted dying substance) may be taken in relation to the person until the application for review is finalised.
- (a) if the request and assessment process in relation to the person requesting access to voluntary assisted dying has not been completed— (i) the request and assessment process is suspended; and (ii) no further step in the process may be taken until the application for review is finalised; or
- (i) the request and assessment process is suspended; and
- (ii) no further step in the process may be taken until the application for review is finalised; or
- (b) if the request and assessment process in relation to the person requesting access to voluntary assisted dying has been completed— (i) the process for accessing voluntary assisted dying under part 4 is suspended; and (ii) no further step under that part (including the prescription, supply or administration of a voluntary assisted dying substance) may be taken in relation to the person until the application for review is finalised.
- (i) the process for accessing voluntary assisted dying under part 4 is suspended; and
- (ii) no further step under that part (including the prescription, supply or administration of a voluntary assisted dying substance) may be taken in relation to the person until the application for review is finalised.
- (i) the request and assessment process is suspended; and
- (ii) no further step in the process may be taken until the application for review is finalised; or
- (i) the process for accessing voluntary assisted dying under part 4 is suspended; and
- (ii) no further step under that part (including the prescription, supply or administration of a voluntary assisted dying substance) may be taken in relation to the person until the application for review is finalised.
