### sec.70 Deciding applications for series of related crimes or series of related acts of domestic violence
This section applies if—
a person has made 2 or more applications for victim assistance; and
the scheme manager reasonably considers the applications relate to a series of related crimes or a series of related acts of domestic violence.
The scheme manager may decide that the applications must be decided together as 1 application for a single act of violence involving the series of related crimes or series of related acts of domestic violence.

However, before acting under subsection (2) , the scheme manager must—
give the person a notice—
stating the manager is proposing that the applications be decided together as 1 application for a single act of violence involving the series of related crimes or series of related acts of domestic violence; and
inviting the person to give the scheme manager, within a stated time of at least 7 days, a written submission about the proposal; and
have regard to any submission received from the person within the stated time.
If the scheme manager decides that the applications must be decided together under subsection (2) , the scheme manager must give the person a notice stating the following—
the decision;
the reasons for the decision;

(sec.70-ssec.2) The scheme manager may decide that the applications must be decided together as 1 application for a single act of violence involving the series of related crimes or series of related acts of domestic violence. See section 25B (4) .
(sec.70-ssec.3) However, before acting under subsection (2) , the scheme manager must— give the person a notice— stating the manager is proposing that the applications be decided together as 1 application for a single act of violence involving the series of related crimes or series of related acts of domestic violence; and inviting the person to give the scheme manager, within a stated time of at least 7 days, a written submission about the proposal; and have regard to any submission received from the person within the stated time.
