### sec.67 Obtaining information about prosecution
The government assessor may ask the director of public prosecutions for the following information about a stated act of violence in relation to which assistance is sought—
details of the charges laid for the act of violence, including any charge laid against a person for conspiring with the person who committed the act;
details of the place and date of hearing of the proceeding for the charge;
a decision to substantially change the charge, or not to continue with the charge, or to accept a plea of guilty to a lesser charge;
the outcome of a proceeding for the charge, including any sentence imposed and the outcome of any appeal.
The director must comply with the request if the director is reasonably satisfied the government assessor reasonably requires the information to decide the application.
The giving of information by the director under subsection (2) is authorised despite any other Act or law, including a law imposing an obligation to maintain confidentiality about the information.
