### sec.24 Effect of death on eligibility for assistance
Despite any other Act or law, if a person entitled to assistance dies, the person’s entitlement to assistance does not survive for the benefit of the person’s estate.
If a person applies for assistance but dies before the application is decided, the application lapses.
If a person is granted assistance but dies before the assistance is paid to the person, the assistance is taken to never have been granted and the person’s application lapses.
(sec.24-ssec.1) Despite any other Act or law, if a person entitled to assistance dies, the person’s entitlement to assistance does not survive for the benefit of the person’s estate.
