### sec.86 Contracts by guardians on behalf of infants
The court, where it considers it necessary or desirable in the interest of an infant or of an infant and some other person, may on the application of a guardian or next friend of the infant, make an order appointing the guardian of the infant, or some other fit and proper person, to enter into any agreement for or on behalf of such infant.
An agreement entered into in accordance with this section shall be as effectual and binding as if the infant had been a person of full age and mental capacity and had himself or herself entered into that agreement.
In this section—
court includes, where the amount or subject matter is within the jurisdiction of the District Court, the District Court or a District Court judge.
